MCC-Penn Valley Scouts upset #1 team to advance in NJCAA tourney

The MCC-Penn Valley Scouts men’s basketball team has had a strong showing at this week’s National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II national championships, last night beating Louisburg College (NC), the number 1 team in the country. The final score of the David-and-Goliath battle was 88-86. Penn Valley’s season record was 17-12; Louisburg’s record was 32-1. …
