The filing period for three of six seats on the Metropolitan Community College Board of Trustees opens Dec. 24, with a final deadline of 5 p.m. Jan. 21. The election will be on April 7, 2020.
Voters will elect MCC trustees for Subdistricts 2 and 5, both full six-year terms, as well as Subdistrict 4, which is a four-year term. Henry Carner resigned the Subdistrict 4 seat in July 2019, and trustees just appointed a replacement who will serve until the April election.
People interested in declaring their candidacy for the trustee seats can file their paperwork at the MCC Administrative Center, 3200 Broadway, on these dates:
- Tuesday, Dec. 24, 8-9 a.m.
- Weekdays between Jan. 6 and Jan. 17, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
- Tuesday, Jan. 21, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (The College is closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 20)
