Metropolitan Community College honored the old Negro Leagues at MCC Day at the K on Sunday, June 23. There was a lot going on: An employee threw out a ceremonial first pitch. The MCC Wolf was there (and made lots of new friends).  The MCC Foundation and Royals Charities presented two students with scholarships worth a year of tuition. An alumni gathering was held on the Price Chopper Patio. And MCC representatives talked to prospective students at a booth inside the stadium.

Here are some scenes from the day. (Photos by Clay Bussey/MCC)

Who doesn’t love a big, cuddly Wolf?
Yep, there’s the MCC logo on the Royals’ Crown Vision scoreboard.

There was MCC swag to be had for people who filled out inquiry cards, plus plenty of information about MCC programs.
The Wolf has some fun with the Royals’ Sluggerrr before the game.

An MCC Foundation alumni event was held on the Price Chopper Patio.
Alumni enjoyed ballpark food and a great vantage point for watching the game.
