Dr. Kimberly Beatty, Metropolitan Community College’s new chancellor, shared her story and the values she will bring to the community in an interview during her welcome reception on June 19.
As MCC chancellor, Dr. Beatty said, “I commit to you today, by partnering with the executive team, faculty and staff, MCC will be a place where students not only dream with a question mark, but rather achieve their dreams with a period. That’s what we will do together.”
Watch Dr. Beatty’s story in her own words:
The institution’s eighth chancellor joins MCC from Houston Community College, where she served as vice chancellor for instructional services and chief academic officer.
Dr. Beatty took the helm at MCC on July 1 after Chancellor Mark James retired.
