Brian Hutchin of Lee’s Summit has joined the Metropolitan Community College Foundation board of directors. His nomination was approved Oct. 20 by the MCC Board of Trustees.
Hutchin is a senior vice president at UMB, where he’s worked since 2007. He is director of commercial client solution sales in UMB’s commercial banking division.
“I’m looking forward to making a meaningful individual contribution with the MCC Foundation board and continuing the great work started 40 years ago,” Hutchin says.
The MCC Foundation, established in 1976, raises money to support student scholarships and special campus initiatives across the MCC district.
Hutchin holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management emphasis, from the University of Central Missouri.
He is president of the Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation Board of Directors and past president of the Lee’s Summit Rotary Club. He has served on the board of directors of the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce and on the advisory board of directors for Lee’s Summit Economic Development Corporation.
In 2014, Ingram’s magazine honored Hutchin as a member of its “Top 40 Under 40” class.
His board term runs through June 2018.
