MCC-Longview hosts ‘Silents Night’ on Nov. 3

silents-nightMetropolitan Community College-Longview is excited to host its fifth annual Silents Night on Thursday, Nov. 3, featuring Harold Lloyd in the 1923 silent film classic “Safety Last!”

The image of Lloyd hanging from the hands of a skyscraper’s clock, high above a city street teeming with traffic, is an iconic one in the world of film.

Experience the suspense as Lloyd encounters hilarious obstacles along not only his climb up the building, but in life as well.

The evening will include a Charlie Chaplin comedy short as well.

Silents Night is free and open to the public. The doors to the MCC-Longview Cultural Arts Center, 500 S.W. Longview Road, Lee’s Summit, will open at 6:30 p.m., with the presentation beginning at 7 p.m.

MCC is honored to have special guest organist Dr. Marvin Faulwell playing for the event.
