MCC-Penn Valley hosts Career and Major Fair on Feb. 3

Career Fair

Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley hosted its semiannual Career and Major Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 3. About 150 students took advantage of the opportunity to learn more about different majors and careers related to specific degrees.

The counseling department at MCC-Penn Valley helped plan the service for students. Counselor Dawn Brady said, “The Career and Major Fair provides students an opportunity to explore the various disciplines and academic programs represented at MCC.  This is an informal way students can meet with faculty and find out valuable information about numerous career and educational paths.”

Employees at MCC-Penn Valley explained they had such success with the first event last spring that they are now offering the event during both the spring and fall semesters. The students got the chance to meet with faculty from varied academic divisions and programs. Counselors were also on hand to provide information and assistance with career exploration.
