Maxfield joins MCC Foundation board

Josh MaxfieldJosh Maxfield, assistant general counsel at Garmin International, has joined the Metropolitan Community College Foundation board of directors.

Maxfield has worked in the legal department at Garmin for seven years, including the last two and a half years as assistant general counsel. For four years, he worked overseas, most recently in Switzerland. Before Garmin, Maxfield worked as an attorney at Polsinelli Shughart and at Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP.

Maxfield holds a bachelor of arts in economics from Boston College and a juris doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. He is a graduate of Kansas City Tomorrow, an executive leadership development and civic engagement program operated by the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City.

Under the leadership of board president Carolyn Watley, Maxfield will serve a 3-year term on the MCC Foundation board of directors.
