MCC-Maple Woods continues storytelling tradition with 14th annual festival

The 2013 Kansas City Storytelling Celebration, presented by MCC-Maple Woods, is almost here and it’s sure to be fun for the whole family!

ST2013logoThe 14th annual event will take place Nov. 6-9 at multiple locations across metropolitan Kansas City. All events are free and open to the public.

As in years past, the festival features four nationally-renowned storytellers from a variety of diverse backgrounds. This year’s artists are Peter Cook, Sadarri Saskill, Willy Claflin, and Missouri teller Marylin Kinsella. Find additional information about the storytellers at www.kcstorytelling.org.

The four-day celebration will also feature family-friendly concerts and a silent auction. All proceeds from the silent auction directly benefit the Storytelling Celebration.
