MCC in the news: FabLab featured on KCUR

The MCC-Business & Technology FabLab was the subject of a feature story today on KCUR 89.3 FM, Kansas City’s National Public Radio station.

The story, by KCUR reporter Maria Carter, highlighted the FabLab’s innovative approach to providing high-tech design tools for MCC students and the community.

The FabLab provides members access to tools to help design and prototype nearly anything. The lab features six different prototyping technologies, three-dimensional scanning, metal working, vacuum forming, an array of wood working equipment, a plasma cutter, welding equipment, tubing bending and forming, and a fully capable CADD and three-dimensional modeling lab.
