Please join us in saying good-bye to Annette Braam, Director of the OSHA Institute Training Education Center, Region VII. Braam has accepted a position with the Directorate of Training and Education for OSHA in Arlington Heights, Ill., where she will be program manager for the OSHA Training Institute Education Centers.
We are grateful for all that Braam has done for safety and health programming and industry consulting services. Since she came on board in July 2009, the number of courses offered has more than doubled, and OSHA enrollment has increased overall by 78%. Under her tenure, over 70 companies received consulting and contract training services.
This past year, 2012, was a particularly notable year, with over 1,000 students enrolled in over 100 courses. Braam spearheaded the OTIEC’s 20th anniversary luncheon celebration, and, most recently, the successful reauthorization of the OTIEC program to continue training for another five years.
“I have appreciated the opportunity to work with the staff at MCC and the OTIEC, especially the wonderful adjunct faculty who inspire our students and keep them coming back,” said Braam.
Again, we would like to thank her for all that she has have done for MCC. We wish her the best of luck, and look forward to continued opportunities to work together on providing safety education to the region.
