Members of Phi Theta Kappa, Kappa, and the evening Police academy at MCC-Blue River donated their time to “Operation Christmas Child” to outrageous success this year, packing more than 270 shoe boxes full of gifts and useful items for children in need around the world. They also combined their efforts to raise over $1600 in funds to ship the Christmastime care packages internationally.
Dr. Michael Banks, Blue River campus president, extended his thanks, saying, “Your leadership and commitment to community service is evidenced in the success of this project… You are to be commended for your participation and extraordinary success. As a community college, we are proud of the service focus and commitment of our students, faculty, and staff who exemplify the fulfillment of our mission of serving communities on a global scale.”
