Student Photo Art Exhibit Launches in Penn Valley Education Center

Feast your eyes on captivating artwork from one of MCC-Penn Valley’s talented photography students.

The photography exhibition, titled “My Way to Wheeler: Views from a Vision Quest,” features works from our very own Carter Art Center Photography III student, Brian Koch.

An artist reception will be held Thursday, Nov. 15th in the Penn Valley Education Center from 6 – 8:30 p.m. During this time, Mr. Koch will share words and thoughts of his inspiration to travel with his camera and dog on a hiking journey for days on end.

“Brian Koch has put his heart and talent into this wonderful photographic exhibit…” says  Bernadette Torres, gallery director for the Anna & Kemper Carter Arts Center at MCC – Penn Valley.

The exhibit will be appropriately displayed following an extensive exhibition on Cuban printmaking art and preceeding another student showcase of Graphic Design works at the end of November.

Because this exhibit is the only student-led photography experiment of it’s kind this semester – students, faculty and staff alike are encouraged to take note of the individual works.

Large B/W photographs are currently on display for your enjoyment and purchase now through December 1.

The photography art exhibition will be open and on display in the hallway of Penn Valley’s Education Center Mon-Thurs. from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., Fri. 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and will be closed most weekends and over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Please contact Bernadette Torres at 816-604-4326 for more information regarding this exhibition.
