Reminder: how to register or re-register to receive text alerts

In light of the severe winter weather expected this week, here is a reminder about how to sign up to receive text alerts about campus closings and other emergencies. (NOTE: Text alert subscriptions are good for six months, so if you enrolled more than six months ago, follow the simple directions below to re-enroll.)

MCC Notify Me, the college’s emergency text-messaging service, helps keep students and employees informed about campus emergencies and other time-sensitive matters such as inclement weather closings.

If you are not currently subscribed to MCC Notify Me but would like to enroll, you may do so by logging in to myMCCKC (https://my.mcckc.edu) and clicking on “Manage MCC Notify Me” in the lower left-hand corner. You will be able to subscribe in three easy steps and your subscription will be valid for 180 days.

You may change your MCC Notify Me subscription status at any time by logging on to myMCCKC.

As always, emergency notifications can also be found on the MCC home page and the MCC Alert page and inclement-weather closing information can be found on all major local TV networks and radio news programs.
