Despite the crazy early spring weather, the Monarchs softball and baseball teams have completed their regular seasons, taking away wins, losses and lessons for the upcoming year.
The softball team ended their season with a record of 7-33. A new class of sophomores stepped up to lead the young team, which will return next year to try and cement the foundation that was built this season.
The baseball team, which didn’t play a single game until mid-March, is moving on to compete in the post season. Although the early season saw some heart-breaking losses, the Monarchs finished the season out very strong, winning 18 of their last 24 games, including some against touch conference rivals MCC-Longview and St. Louis Community College.
