Child Abuse Prevention Month at MCC

6,000 Easter eggs adorned the lawn at MCC-Blue River when hundreds of families from the region convened to show their young ones a fun time while they learned to protect themselves from threats to children.

The video attached relates just one of the health and happiness protecting activities that were provided at Blue River last Saturday. In this clip, children at the “All for the Children” child abuse prevention day’s children’s self defense workshop learn about improvised projectiles:

The psychology students at MCC-Blue River whom donated their energy to produce this event were able to collect $421 for KLAAS Kids Foundation, and they aim to turn that into $1000 before sending the funds to the national organization.
