All-Star Game preview for Independence businesses at MCC

MCC-Blue River will host an All-Star Game Preview, sponsored by the Independence Chamber of Commerce, on May 31 in the Blue River Arts & Sciences gymnasium. Kauffman Stadium will be the site for this year’s Major League Baseball All-Star Game, where star managers Tony LaRussa and Ron Washington will manage teams amalgamated of the finest talents in Major League Baseball today. This Chamber of Commerce preview event aims to discuss the impact of this world-renowned event on Independence, Mo. and its businesses.

Speakers for the All-Star Game Preview include representatives from the KC Royals, Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association, Keli O’Neill Wenzel from O’Neill Marketing & Event Management and introductions by Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders.

Join the Independence Chamber of Commerce & host campus MCC-Blue River for an All-Star Preview cookout. The event will feature free ballpark style munchies, such as hotdogs and popcorn, which you can munch while learning about upcoming All-Star events and how they impact our community.

Speakers will start at noon, so please arrive at the MCC-Blue River Arts & Sciences gymnasium by 11:30 a.m. to network and enjoy complimentary food and drinks.
