Metropolitan Community College’s Board of Trustees swore in its new members on May 9.
McClain Bryant, director of policy for Kansas City Mayor Sly James, has been appointed to represent MCC Subdistrict 2, replacing former trustee David Disney, who resigned from the board after moving out of the subdistrict.
Phil LeVota, an attorney in private practice, has been appointed to represent Subdistrict 5, replacing former trustee Robert Martin, who passed away April 3.
Bryant and LeVota will serve until the next MCC election, when trustees will be elected for the unexpired terms for each of the subdistricts.
Elections will be in April 2018.
