The Metropolitan Community College board of trustees last week approved a proposal to increase tuition by $5 per credit hour, effective with the summer 2012 semester.
The proposal indicated that a comparison with other local educational institutions showed MCC’s tuition and fees to be “very competitive and…generally below the local market.”
Based on this comparison, and considering the district’s financial needs, the following changes were proposed and approved by the board:
- $5 per credit hour increase in in-district, out-of-district and out-of state tuition
- $2 per contact hour increase in lab fee
A full schedule of tuition and fees can be found here. Students who need help covering the cost of tuition are encouraged to consult with a campus financial aid officer or to visit the simplified scholarship search page.
