The event kicked off with an opening keynote address “Loving and Respecting Me” by Tiffany Williams, assistant dean of students at UMKC.  There was also an open forum/panel presentation on “Maintaining Healthy Relationships; Loving and Respecting Others.”

A popular activity was the etiquette fashion show and discussion where participants talked about and modeled what’s hot vs. a hot mess in collegiate and professional attire.

Admissions Manager Eric Thompson reminded participants of the importance of overcoming academic obstacles and respecting yourself.
