Over the weekend, MCC-Business & Technology hosted the second annual Boy Scout Merit Badge Round-Up. The 47 Boy Scouts that attended earned at total of 76 merit badges. Scouts earned merit badges in welding, geocaching, metal work, computers, and scholarship.
According to Boy Scouts of America, 60% of former Scouts say they made a career choice based on experiences they had earning a merit badge.
A special thank you to R&D Leverage, MeadWesvaco Calmar Inc, and KC Structural Steel for donating materials. And thank you to the seven couselors, seventeen adult leaders, and two coordinators that made the event a success.
