MCC welcomes new employees, April 2017

Metropolitan Community College would like to welcome the most recent additions to the MCC family.

  • Clifford Green, MCC-Administrative Center senior accountant
    • Clifford’s father retired from MCC.
    • His family is growing. “I have a 6-year-old daughter, a Rottweiler and an 8-week-old kitten. I am engaged and getting married in September.”
  • Julie Smith, MCC-Penn Valley student services specialist
    • Julie has a Ph.D. in English literature and has taught and advised students in higher education for nearly fifteen years.
    • A personal note: “I have a very spoiled puppy named Mabel.”
  • Jessica Garcia, MCC-Longview student services specialist
    • Jessica just moved to Kansas City from California.
  • Darice Heishman, MCC-Administrative Center database prospect research specialist
    • Darice was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa. and also lived in Los Angeles, Calif.
    • She is “looking forward to doing my part in helping to secure funding for student scholarships.”
  • Robert Walls, MCC-Administrative Center technical support specialist
    • Robert moved from the east with his wife, a professional ballerina, who is joining the Kansas City Ballet.
    • He is excited that in his new job, he will be “learning new technologies and working with a larger community/department.”
