MCC to host Social Justice Conference on Nov. 10

MCC employees are invited to Metropolitan Community College’s Social Justice Conference: A Practitioner’s Experience. Our theme this year is “Wake Up! Moving Beyond Complacency.”

The goal of the Social Justice Conference (SJC) is to provide practitioners with an experience in which they can walk away with tools to help them grow as advocates for social justice on their campuses.  The SJC will be a one-day event featuring interactive workshops and knowledgeable speakers addressing social justice initiatives and practices.

Participants will have a chance to network and discuss what is happening on their campuses in a setting that allows for networking on best practices. This will also allow for participants to develop ideas and programs that fit their specific campus needs.
