MCC grad now Disney hometown police chief

There’s a new chief of police in Marceline, Mo., where MCC-Blue River Police Academy graduate Chris Arnold has taken the top post in the police department. Among his many duties, Chief Arnold will be charged with protecting “Main Street, USA,” the historical street that Walt Disney remembered from his boyhood in Marceline, Mo. and later modeled Disney Land’s Main Street after. Disney was born in Marceline and showed his love for the pleasant moments of his youth there by reinventing Marceline’s Main Street for myriad thousands to peruse in his world renowned Disney theme parks.

Chief Arnold has plenty of great training and experience as a member of the Independence police force, having served a majority of his career in the proximity of his MCC-Blue River alma mater. His education and field experience have propelled him into this well-deserved position.

Arnold told the Linn County Leader that he looked forward to the change of pace from the urban environs of Independence to a smaller, rural community. Read the Linn Couny Leader article here:
