Lakers Make Push for Post-Season Play

MCC-Longview Lakers are going out with a bang for this year’s season. After being 5-14 in March, the Lakers have turned it around and are now 14-2 for April. This past month has given the Lakers the opportunity to shine and show other schools what they can accomplish.

“All the opponents are tough because we have the ability to beat anyone but we can also lose to anyone,” said Lakers Head-Coach Clint Culbertson, “Fortunately we have a very good closer in James Fitzgearlds, who shuts the door at the end of the games.”

One of the Lakers’ goals is to “work on putting the teams away.” For the playoffs, their even-keel attitude should be a big help to stomp out the rest of the competition.
