As part of the completion of the sale of the Facility Services building at 1601 Prospect, Metropolitan Community College will be doing some server and network moves. There are two moves that will cause outages for certain services, although IT has made arrangements to minimize the impact on operations.
The first move will happen Monday, Oct. 9 beginning at 7 p.m. This move is expected to be completed by midnight. During the move, there will be no access to the InfoExchange or other internal websites. The public website, mcckc.edu, will be available but some pages will not work as expected. Specifically impacted parts of our public website include the directory, course descriptions and browse class schedule (advanced class search will remain available). MCC will post this information on all website pages during the affected time.
The second and more major move is scheduled to start Saturday Oct. 14 at 3 p.m. and will continue until complete. It is expected that the move will be complete by Sunday morning. During that time, all network connectivity and all MCC websites will be impacted. MCC is working with its vendors to minimize service disruption.
