Mike Sanders, Alvin Brooks among presenters at marijuana sentencing disparities discussion

MCC-Penn Valley hosted “Marijuana: A Hook Down The Wrong Road” on Nov. 16. About 100 attendees participated in the community discussion about the effects of marijuana and its implications on employment, scholarships, housing and incarceration. The event was sponsored by the Brooks Institute For Criminal Justice and the Metropolitan Community College African-American Faculty Staff Association.
