A long-term community based initiative to support STEM education in the Northland. Activities will be aimed at promoting student interest in STEM, promoting professional development and collaboration among faculty, and adoption of the best practices. A Pre-Algebra Curriculum Delivery Model for Recruiting and Retaining Students with Learning Disabilities
Addresses student problems with an interactive model of instruction that incorporates brain compatible learning (creating an environment which is physiologically, neurologically and psychologically conducive to learning) techniques in a learning laboratory setting supported by collaboration among instructors and a learning disabilities specialist to improve retention, successful completion and persistence among students with disabilities in Math 40.
