Involuntary Withdrawal (New Policy)

This is a new policy to enable MCC to withdraw students from classes when they pose a direct threat to their own safety or the safety of others.  An increase of violent incidents nationwide involving college students has prompted the development of this policy. It outlines a process for withdrawing a student who demonstrates “substantial threat,” while at the same time protecting the due process rights of the student, insuring that the action is nondiscriminatory under Office of Civil Rights rules and that all appropriate disability interventions have been made.
